Sessions zu Cloud Computing auf der TechED 2011

TechED-2011Cloud Computing war neben Virtualisierung ein wichtiges Thema auf der diesjährigen TechEd in Atlanta (North America).
Vom 16 – 19 Mai 2011 vermittelten Techniker, Entwickler sowie MVPs auf der Großveranstaltung ihr Wissen über die vielfältigen Microsoft Produkte.

In den zahlreichen aufgezeichneten Vorträgen werden Neuerungen aber auch bekannte Szenarien verständlich und umfangreich erläutert. Die auf “Channel 9” bereitgestellten Videos sind vor allem für diejenigen Interessant, die die TechEd nicht persönlich besuchen konnten. Lediglich ist die Sprache in den Vorträgen aufgrund des Veranstaltungsortes in Englisch.

Windows Azure Virtual Network is a component of Windows Azure that enables customers to setup secure, IP-level network connectivity between their Windows Azure compute services and existing, on-premise resources. Developing Powerful Workflows in the Cloud with Microsoft SharePoint Online

SharePoint Online supports declarative workflows when automating business processes via SharePoint Online. In this session, we develop a workflow from beginning to end to show what is possible. We design the workflow in Microsoft Visio 2010 to show the overall business process and to provide a workflow visualization. We export that diagram to SharePoint Designer 2010 in order to implement the workflow declaratively via the designer and built-in conditions and actions. Finally, we extend the workflow using Visual Studio 2010 and Sandboxed Solutions to show how custom actions and events can add power and flexibility to declarative workflows. In conclusion, we discuss workflow distribution via packaging.
